Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner – Savannah
The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD), is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at Georgia Regional Hospital - Savannah.
Georgia Regional Hospital – Savannah (GRHS) operates 179 licensed, accredited inpatient beds for two major program areas: 1) adult mental health, 2) adult forensic services.
GRHS offers inpatient adult mental health services, inpatient habilitation services and forensic program services to a catchment area of approximately 45 Georgia counties.Job Description: Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments Examines clients to obtain information about physical and/or mental health Assists with developing comprehensive treatment plans of care (incorporating physical & MH needs) Recommends appropriate therapies and counsels mental health clients Assists psychiatrist with the clinical management of clients on the psychiatrist's treatment team Maintain a caseload of 12+ clients Ensure QA measures are met and maintained and participate as a member for PI initiatives as need arises May supervise lower-level techs and nurses May serve as a chart monitor for QM Benefits: Vacation 15 days each year up to 5 years of service 18 days each year from 5-10 years of service 21 days each year for 10 + years of service Sick Leave – accrual at a rate of 10 hours per month (15 days each year) Holidays – the state of Georgia recognizes 12 paid holidays Retirement 401(k) plan with a matching employer contribution Defined Benefit Pension Plan Available Insurance Health Dental Vision Legal Disability Healthcare & Childcare spending accounts Life & dependent life insurance Federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program qualified employer

:Master's degree in respective nursing field from an accredited college or university AND Four years of experience in a related area AND current license to practice as APRN in Georgia in the specialty area (Psychiatric specialty area requires a minimum of Four years mental health experience. Medical specialty area requires a minimum of Six years mental health experience) OR Bachelor's degree in physician assistant studies from an accredited college or university AND Six years of general medicine experience OR Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND completion of a physician assistant training program of at least Twenty-Four months certified by the Accreditation Review Commission of PA, ARC-PA AND certification to practice as a Physician Assistant by the Composite State Board of Medical Examiners (or eligibility to obtain within One year) AND Four years of experience in a related area.Preferred Qualifications - External: This position is for PMHNP Certified candidates Additional experience working in mental health :
